Dear Eric: My friend has been totally engrossed with messaging celebrities through Telegram. So far, she has been in contact with four musicians. Two of the four have promised to come visit with her. After the first celebrity visit fell through, I asked her repeatedly to block this contact. She vacillates between blocking and then unblocking him because she just wants to read his message. It seems as if this has taken on a life of its own, with the constant messaging and planning for the visits. I am not sure if she has given any of the celebrities money, but I…
From new chairlifts to mountain expansions, the upcoming ski season promises improved or upgraded experiences at a few of Colorado’s top resorts. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Even without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray insisted, the team Denver brought on the road this week was a good one. Good enough that it should have won Friday night in New Orleans, at least. With an opportunity to prove his point in a second consecutive game without the MVP center, the Nuggets fell behind by as many as 24 in a 105-90 loss to the Grizzlies on Sunday.Murray and Michael Porter Jr. combined for 23 points on a 10-for-27 day from the field while Julian Strawther was the team’s only double-digit scorer until the fourth quarter. Murray turned…
OFFENSE — A Rookie quarterback Bo Nix was on a heater from the start Sunday afternoon. He threw touchdowns to Nate Adkins, Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin and Lil’Jordan Humphrey. He diced up the Falcons on third down and in general. He led a Denver offense that scored on five of its first seven possessions and barely broke stride. The Broncos controlled the game start to finish and Nix made a play whenever Denver needed one. Impressive stuff from the budding rookie of the year candidate. The young skill guys keep coming along, too, but this one featured a heavy dose…
Highlight: Quarterback Bo Nix strengthened his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year. On Sunday, he picked apart Atlanta’s defense, going 28 of 33 for 307 yards and four touchdowns. He set the tone in the first half, completing 17 of 19 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. But he wasn’t the only rookie that stood out. Wide receiver Devaughn Vele once again showed he can be a reliable target in the middle of the field. He finished with four catches for 66 yards and had a 33-yard reception in the second quarter. Rookie wideout Troy Franklin recorded his…

Initial thoughts from the Broncos’ 38-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11 at Empower Field at Mile High:Mims the word: It appears Sean Payton has finally figured out how to use Marvin Mims Jr. A week ago, it was putting the Oklahoma speedster in the backfield and turning him into a runner. This week, Payton put him in the backfield … and turned him into a receiver. Then he put him in the slot … and turned him into a receiver. Then he put him in motion … and turned him into a runner on a fly sweep.…
