The victim of a suspected kidnapping in Northglenn was found safe Tuesday night, but police are still searching for the suspect.
Witnesses told investigators that a man forced his ex-girlfriend into his car during an argument overnight Monday and fled the area, according to the Northglenn Police Department.
Police put out an alert for a gold 2000 Honda Civic at about 3 p.m. Tuesday and found the vehicle within an hour. The woman was found safe later that night, but the unidentified suspect remains at large, according to an 8:20 p.m. update from Northglenn police.
Detectives were seeking a warrant for the man’s phone location, spokesperson James Burlison said. Additional information about the suspect or the woman who was kidnapped was not immediately available.
