While the Nuggets are examining David Adelman closely, Adelman is trying to stay focused on examining the Clippers. The subtext of this playoff series is inescapable. The individual stakes are undeniable. Adelman is finishing out the season as interim head coach of the Nuggets, and after that, his role with the team is up in the air. Will the Kroenkes decide he is the man to replace Michael Malone full-time, or will he have to venture elsewhere for his first head coaching gig? “You’re going to think I’m lying, but I haven’t thought about that,” Adelman said Wednesday when asked…
As the Denver Nuggets enter the 2025 NBA playoffs, a breakdown of their first-round series matchup against the fifth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers: Who has the edge? Guards Glass half full: In the last three postseasons combined, James Harden has averaged 19.8 points on 40.9% shooting in 29 games. Jamal Murray might not be as distinguished as a surefire future Hall of Famer, but Denver’s lead guard is indisputably the more certified playoff riser. Glass half empty: This is still James Harden we’re talking about. His late All-NBA push coincided with the Clippers’ strong finish. He went for 26.2 points per…
Tim Bergstraser believes he can pull off the improbable on Buchtel Boulevard. DU men’s basketball has just three winning campaigns in its 12 seasons in the Summit League and has struggled for wins and relevancy for just about the entirety of the program’s 103-year existence. The Pioneers basketball team, which lives in the shadow of DU’s nationally prominent hockey, lacrosse, soccer and gymnastics programs, introduced Bergstraser as its next head coach on Wednesday at Hamilton Gymnasium. In his opening remarks in a gym closer in scale to a large high school than a Division I program, Bergstraser proclaimed, “What we…

Hide your eyes. The truth is more stunning than a Nikola Jokic no-look pass. Nobody believes the Nuggets can beat the Los Angeles Clippers, let alone win the NBA championship. Less than two years after raising the trophy, it is a fact. Denver is an underdog to – gulp – the Clippers. Is Nikola Jokic skipping this series to watch harness racing? Did Josh Kroenke accidentally CC Jamal Murray on the email firing Michael Malone and Calvin Booth? They draw the Paper Clips in the postseason and everyone thinks Denver is the Chicken Nuggets? They haven’t lost in the first…
In the latest edition of the Nuggets Ink podcast, beat writer Bennett Durando and sports editor Matt Schubert reconvene as Denver prepares to face the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA Playoffs. Among the topics discussed: The Nuggets closed out the regular season 3-0 under interim head coach David Adelman. What’s the vibe around the team been since the firing of Michael Malone and Calvin Booth? Was it the right call to turn to Adelman? Awaiting the Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs? The red-hot Los Angeles Clippers. How do they match up against a Los Angeles roster…
On the final day for NFL teams to host draft prospects on a 30 visit, the Broncos are bringing in perhaps their most logical first-round fit at running back. Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson is visiting the Broncos on Wednesday, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Denver Post. The meeting only solidifies a growing buzz around Henderson as a candidate for the Broncos at pick No. 20, a versatile back with top-of-his-class athleticism who profiles as a hand-in-glove fit in head coach Sean Payton’s offense. General manager George Paton made clear at owners meetings in Florida…
On a recent Colorado bluebird day, hundreds of women stood at the apex of Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs with palpable excitement in the air. One by one, they began taking off their clothes, most stripping down to just their ski or snowboard boots to expose their naked skin to the crisp breeze up at 9,900 feet in elevation. As more women disrobed, the cheers grew louder in celebration of this rare occasion to bare it all in the wild. They posed for photos, doled out compliments, shared sunscreen and relished a few moments of bliss before strapping into…
Leading up to this tax day, it’s been an interesting few weeks that have caused me to stop checking my retirement account (deep breath) and to consider even more how much to spend on food. I was raised to be frugal and remain a lover of good deals — but also a lover of good things, like dinners at home that don’t cost much in dollars or time but taste like fun restaurant meals. This week especially, I need low-effort dinners with hardly any dishes to wash afterward so I can squeeze in some Easter baking. The weeknight dishes below…
