A man pleaded guilty Friday to manslaughter in a fatal domestic violence shooting from last year as part of a plea deal, according to court records. The deal — in which 40-year-old Charles Dorsey pleaded guilty to manslaughter and second-degree assault, both felonies — dropped six additional felony charges from his case, including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, attempted robbery and kidnapping, court records show. Dorsey was in a relationship with 29-year-old Maria Pangelinan when he shot her in February 2024, police said.
