Denver police are seeking information about two vehicles involved in hit-and-run crashes that seriously injured a pedestrian and scooter rider in the city’s Auraria and Sunnyside neighborhoods, the agency said Friday.

A driver in a smaller, dark-colored SUV crashed into a scooter rider at 8:42 p.m. Nov. 1 near Speer Boulevard and Auraria Parkway, the Denver Police Department said in a crime alert. The driver fled the scene on Speer heading toward Interstate 25 and the SUV may have damage on the front passenger side panel.

Police responded to the second crash at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of West 46th Avenue when a driver heading westbound hit a pedestrian crossing the street.

The vehicle may be a white Toyota SUV with minor damage to the front, Denver police said.

Anyone with information about the crashes can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
