A woman driving in the 1800 block of Sherrelwood Drive early Sunday morning was fatally shot by a group of juveniles, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was driving with a passenger around 2:20 a.m. Sunday when a group of juveniles in the street started firing at the vehicle, according to the agency.
The woman later died at the hospital from her injuries. The condition of the passenger was not available on Wednesday.
No one is in custody on the case and investigators are “pursuing all possibilities,” Sgt. Adam Sherman said in a statement.
“…Our investigators are continuing to conduct interviews, follow up on leads, and gather information,” Sherman said. “Due to the sensitivity of the situation and where we are in the investigation, we cannot disclose more at this time.”
The woman has not been identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
