A pedestrian died at a hospital Thursday afternoon after being struck by a train in southwest Denver, the Denver Police Department said. The pedestrian was struck by the train shortly after 2 p.m., police said in a statement. The incident happened near Ellsworth Avenue and Rio Grande Boulevard, which is near a rail line. A Pueblo man was killed and another victim was injured in a double shooting early Thursday morning. Pueblo police responded to a shooting in southern Pueblo just before 2 a.m. and found one man dead and another injured from a single gunshot wound, the agency said in a statement early Thursday evening. The surviving victim was taken to the hospital. The deceased victim has not been identified, and no arrests have been made.
