OKLAHOMA CITY — Aaron Gordon was the personification of his team’s postseason, standing resolute at the top of the key, smiling even while he drained warm-up shots. The Nuggets willed themselves to this Game 7, and Gordon was going to will himself to play in it on one leg. Resilience and toughness were not enough to overcome a team 18 wins better than Denver. Maybe for six games. Not a seventh. With a 125-93 loss to an emergent Oklahoma City Thunder juggernaut on Sunday, the Nuggets’ 2024-25 season ended at the same juncture as last year: Game 7 of the…

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his office said Sunday. Biden was seen by doctors last week after urinary symptoms and a prostate nodule were found. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday, with the cancer cells having spread to the bone. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” his office said. “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.” Prostate cancers are given a score called a Gleason score that measures, on a…

The Rockies have been searching for anything to break their season-long funk. Catharsis finally came in the desert. Their panacea was a rare, breakout night from their offense. They blasted five homers — two by leadoff hitter Jordan Beck — mashed a season-high 19 hits, rallied from an 11-6 deficit and beat the Diamondbacks, 14-12, on Saturday night at Chase Field. “Tonight was one of those nights where the hitting was contagious and we just kept going,” Beck told Rockies.TV. “It was fun.” Beck also tripled in the ninth and scored on Ezequiel Tovar’s single to give Colorado an insurance…

Dear Eric: My brother has children with whom I was extremely close when he and his wife got divorced in 1989. He never supported his kids, never paid child support and drank away everyone’s money, including $20,000 in rehabs that my parents paid for. My brother asked me if he could borrow $5,000, and he would start making payments to pay it back. For the sake of my niece and nephew, I loaned him the money. Unbeknownst to me, my brother was borrowing money from everyone in the family. Soon, everyone in the family found out what he was doing…
