A Delta pilot has filed a lawsuit against an elevator company after a moving walkway at the Denver International Airport swallowed his foot whole. On Nov. 4, 2022, pilot Kenneth Gow was walking through Concourse A of the Denver airport when his foot caught on the end of a moving walkway, which was missing a protective plate, according to the complaint. Gow’s foot, shoe and sock were all severely damaged when his foot was trapped in the open slot, the complaint alleges. The Utah pilot originally filed the complaint against TK Elevator Corporation in Denver District Court on Dec. 20,…

By JILL COLVIN (Associated Press) NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump issued a warning to the Republican National Committee’s chairwoman in an interview aired Sunday, saying when asked about her that there would “probably be some changes made.” Trump had been asked by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo about Ronna McDaniel, who has been facing withering attacks from some Trump allies, including the group Turning Point, which was part of an unsuccessful effort to oust her last year. “I think she did great when she ran Michigan for me. I think she did OK, initially, in the RNC.…

Parts of Golden and Lakewood received over 15 inches of snow, and in the foothills west of the metro area, Kassler in southern Jefferson County and Crescent Village in Boulder County received 20 inches of snow. Crested Butte received the most snow with 24 inches falling by…

Eleven years ago, Democratic state lawmakers faced protests and recalls over their passage of a high-capacity magazine ban and universal background checks for gun buyers in the wake of the Aurora and Sandy Hook mass shootings. The legislation cost two senators their seats, including the Senate president, and a third resigned. The backlash left a scar on Democratic leaders, even as the recalled lawmakers said they had no regrets. For several years, legislators introduced few gun-reform bills, and none passed. But that timidity is now long gone — a turnaround attributable to increasing Democratic electoral dominance in Colorado and growing…

Following its most recent U.N. debacle, it’s time for the United States to stop writing blank checks to the United Nations. For U.N. observers, anti-Israel bias has long been part of the fabric of the United Nations, which has simultaneously turned a blind eye to many atrocities committed by other nations. To put the crisis at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) story in proper perspective, it is worth exploring the U.N.’s relationship with Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. Since 1975, the U.N. has condemned Israel more times than any other country in the world.…

TORONTO — The NHL hasn’t had a truly captivating chase for the league scoring title since the year before Connor McDavid entered the league. McDavid has won five of the past seven Art Ross Trophies — four in lopsided fashion. Two seasons ago, there was a relatively close race until McDavid collected 13 points in his final five games. The two years McDavid didn’t win by eight-plus points, someone else did. The last great, down-to-the-wire race for the scoring crown came in 2014-15, when Jamie Benn edged out John Tavares by one point and Sidney Crosby by three. If the…

There, she runs several miles of hills and dirt trails before coming home, cooking breakfast for her family and dropping her kids off at school. That’s just Juárez’s warm-up — the first step in a routine that’s turned the fearless 42-year-old into a lightweight world champion in bare-knuckle boxing. Following her morning work, she often attends a circuit class where she sweats alongside fellow middle-aged women who are training for life, not fights. After that, she works out with her coach in a two-car residential…

By JON GAMBRELL, LOLITA C. BALDOR and TARA COPP (Associated Press) JERUSALEM (AP) — Iran issued a warning Sunday to the U.S. over potentially targeting two cargo ships in the Mideast long suspected of serving as forwarding operating base for Iranian commandos, just after America and the United Kingdom launched a massive airstrike campaign against Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The statement from Iran on the Behshad and Saviz ships appeared to signal Tehran’s growing unease over the U.S. strikes in recent days in Iraq, Syria and Yemen targeting militias backed by the Islamic Republic. Those attacks, themselves a retaliatory campaign for…
