Exactly two minutes before the 2022 trade deadline hit, Phillies bench coach Mike Calitri came strolling out to center field, and a 24-year-old Mickey Moniak knew his time in Philadelphia was done. He was the league’s No. 1 pick in 2016. But his star dulled across six years, yanked up and down and across the farm. At 5:58 p.m. ET that August, Calitri slung an arm around Moniak and walked him to the dugout. Whispering pleasantries. Whispering thanks. For Ballpark businessman Jon Van Sistine, 1010 Park Ave. was love at first sight. “Its an amazing building. I used to drive by on the street everyday. I would always tell my wife that’s the most beautiful building in Denver,” he said. Last week, Van Sistine purchased the 12,200-square-foot, three-story building for $6.5 million from Open Studio Architecture, the firm that developed the property in 2018 and has its office on the second floor. Van Sistine’s plan is to turn the building’s upper floors into a 16-room hotel. Tapville Social’s first-floor bar will stay where it is. The building lends…

While respecting the work involved, two created irritation. Pro Football Focus ordered all 32 projected starters this week, dividing them into seven tiers. It began with the elite (Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen) and ended with low-enders who are not long-term options (Joe Flacco, Anthony Richardson, Mason Rudolph,…
