Nikki Glaser’s naughty NYE laughs Saturday-Sunday. Comic, writer and podcast/reality TV host Nikki Glaser isn’t just a sex-positive anthropologist — although she’s most certainly that — she’s also a veteran of Comedy Central’s Celebrity Roasts. That makes her a perfectly acerbic voice to close out another difficult year, which she’ll do at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 31. The Good Girl Tour shows are at 7 p.m. both nights at 1621 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. Tickets for the anything-goes (and very 21-and-up) shows are $45-$69.50 at paramountdenver.com or ticketmaster.com. For more things New Year’s…
On a seismic day for the Broncos, the Centura Health Training Center locker room emptied out quickly. As news rattled around the NFL that Denver coach Sean Payton benched Russell Wilson for backup Jarrett Stidham heading into the final two weeks of the season, many players avoided the media scrum. Those who did speak complimented the work Stidham’s done and also expressed support for Wilson, a team captain and the face of the franchise since he was acquired for a haul of picks and players in March 2022. “Russ is a very mentally strong guy,” wide receiver Jerry Jeudy told…

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston joined the leaders of New York City and Chicago Wednesday in lambasting Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for continuing to send busloads of migrants from the southern border to their cities. The mayors said the chartered busing strategy was inhumane, reckless and inefficient, and in a joint media call they detailed new time- and location-based restrictions they will place on the buses’ arrivals in their cities. Johnston, New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson also called on the federal government to declare a state of emergency. That could allow the government to grant…

Mohammed Reza Mesmarian, 35, was sentenced to two to 10 years following his plea in November to guilty but mentally ill on charges of felony arson and property destruction in the incident at a remote desert solar array about 25 miles (40 kilometers) northeast of downtown Las Vegas.…
The Broncos’ potential spark on offense was dressed in a team Lululemon hoodie, hat and pair of Nike Dunks. Jarrett Stidham addressed reporters as Denver’s starting quarterback on Wednesday after head coach Sean Payton brought the fourth-year signal caller into his office in the morning. There, he informed Stidham that he would replace nine-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson in a move to find some offensive rhythm in the final two games of the season. Whether or not Stidham is the solution Payton is looking for won’t be answered until Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. For now, Stidham is…
